Today I had my first experience with Google Notebook, and I am very happy about it. It is a notebook that you jot down what you need to do on, once you are on the internet. Most of the time I would be on the Internet, planing to do some work, related to a particular interest. But most often I drifted to a different theme, having lost what I planed to do.
Now I can open my notebook, make notes of things I need to do. And start on my work. But the best thing is that, I can share my notebook with my colleagues. And they may already know about the subject I am doing research, and guide me with their knowledge.
This is all without touching a email, IM or a phone. Also my colleagues could help me without being under pressure. So I would like to call it a low pressure social networking tool, if two or more people uses it the right way. SO go get your Google Notebook and don't forget to share it.
I think, the notebook, the Google notebook is going to be the first tab of my Firefox browser. If you are not using Firefox, you need to try and download it.
The other thing about Google Notebook is that it is already multi-lingual! It speaks or writes in 17 languages. More are coming according to Xiangtian Dai, one of the Software Engineers responsible for Google Notebook. To read more about Google Notebook directly from Dai, follow the link below.

Is Viral marketing in Social networking a factor in Flixster's growth?
According to an article on American Venture Magazine, Flixster- American Venture Exclusive Interview Outlines the means and ways of it's growth.
"In little more than a year, the San Francisco-based site has grown from zero to 9 million registered users and over 300 million movie reviews. In part, Flixster accomplished this by creating a highly interactive site with seemingly endless diversions.
But the site has also grown due to its aggressive viral marketing practices that have raised the hackles of some potential users.
Such practices might include the automated selection of your email account's entire address book in order to send a Flixster invitation to all of your contacts."
So where do you stand? Join the crowd at slashdot discussion. or Join Flixster and share your address book at Flixster.

Hitwise, Myspace leads the Social networking pack
I found the following news bits by reading and following an article on tech.blorge.com. It seems to interesting statistics as it shows that the Social networking is growing and some relatively unknown social networking sites are showing the largest growth.
The Top Five
1 Myspace www.myspace.com 80.74%
2 Facebook www.facebook.com 10.32%
3 Bebo www.bebo.com 1.18%
4 BlackPlanet www.blackplanet.com 0.88%
5 Xanga www.xanga.com 0.87
According to Hitwise, the world's leading online competitive intelligence service, the market share of Internet visits to the top 20 social networking websites grew by 11.5 percent from January to February 2007, to account for 6.5 percent of all Internet visits in February 2007.
Websites that showed the largest increases in market share of visits were Buzznet, up 148.4 percent and iMeem, up 145.7 percent from January to February 2007. Other fast growing websites included Hoverspot (up 19.6 percent) and Bebo (up 17.8 percent). Category leaders MySpace and Facebook also grew from January to February, with visits increasing 10.2 and 9.1 percent respectively.

Friendster Bags another Patent in Social Networking
Online social network Friendster announced this week that it has been granted its third social networking-related patent, this time for a "system and method for managing connections in an online social network."
The company says the patent covers adding friends, personalizing a profile through arranging, ordering and classifying connections made in an online community, and managing these connections at will.
The new patent, Patent No. 7,188,153 B2, is the third to be granted in the past nine months to San Francisco-based Friendster, a pioneer in social networking with 40 million users that has seen its growth falter in comparison to rivals MySpace and Facebook.

Antonella Barba experiment at WeSeePeople has come to an end.
Antonella Barba and a lucky link I made to a fellow Blogspot blogger in my post about AB's pictures, showed somethings that I never saw before.
First it was the hits; and most of those came from poponthepop.com, because I happened to coin the title as if I was having more Photos of unfortunate Antonella on my site. Mind you I did not have a single photo of her on my site, naked or otherwise, intentionally. In the graph below, Monday visits were 11! and you see what happened afterwards.
The post was followed by some more posts mentioning AB and her day to day problems, one here, another, well another, and I finished the posting with her pussycat picture!
So Weseepeople learned that what is in most our minds. If you have dirt, they will come. But WeSeePeople was started to do something else than collecting dirt. We have something in that direction too, but not another dirty blog!
So WeSeePeople will go back to being 11 readers a day blog. But it was nice to see Blogtopsites counter showing single digits!
So see you peeps in the dirty place we are creating.

Antonella Barba gets her chance to sing!
According to an Associated Press article, via Yahoo news, says that Antonella Barba will be invited to sing. The Mayor of Point Pleasant, NJ, where the aspiring singer is from, wants her to sing at Memorial Day Parade!
Also according to Antonella, you will not see her with Playboy, girls gone wild nor anything that requires her to take off her clothes.
But it is hard to belive, if you have seen THE PHOTOS;
WeSeePeople: Antonella Barba's current possible value for revealing or "Idol gone wild"
"But Mayor Martin Konkus said Point Pleasant plans to honor its newly famous resident. A mayoral proclamation is in the works, and Konkus plans to ask Barba to sing "God Bless America" at the Memorial Day parade. Barba said she'd be honored to do so.
"We are going to welcome her home with open arms," Konkus said. "She's not a bad person. She's a good person that probably wishes she had used a little more discretion. But what you saw was nothing you won't see on a Victoria's Secret television ad.
"She comes home a little bit older and a lot wiser," Konkus added."
Miss Barba further added "These were photos of my personal life that got exploited without my consent," she said during a conference call Friday with reporters from across the country. "I've learned to be careful who you trust."
Barba was the subject of rampant Internet gossip regarding the photos. Publicists for the top-rated Fox show cut off reporters' questions about the pictures during the conference call.
She did say, though, that the situation was distracting as she tried to prepare herself to sing during the past two weeks.
"It was difficult," she said. "It wasn't how I intended things to go. I tried to block it out as much as possible. I'm here to sing. All that other stuff was completely irrelevant."
She said she heeded advice from her vocal coach to view the nervousness in her stomach as adrenaline that could power her performance. And, right before she went onto the stage, she said a little prayer.
Despite her turbulent time in the national spotlight, Barba has few regrets.
"I'm very thankful for the opportunity I've been given," she said. "All this embarrassment that has come with it, I still think it was worth it."

un-Boring Technorati... if it was boring to you!
Read/Write Web has done a superb job of analyzing Technorati top 100. Well Technorati is completely wrong together with the web surfing mass of this world. I could not find myself even in Technorati Top 10000000000.....
How could that be? I do not have the any of the qualities of any of the top 100 sites that pops up in Technorati calculations.
Well if you are in the same boat as me, you might find the answer by reading the RW Web article. I am getting the hang of it.
Apart from Just one post about Technorati top searches, Antonella Barba brought about 100000 visitors to otherwise my superb site, which had a cumulative visitors about 1000 since inception in august 2006! That is it folks, being sexy will attract crowds. And those top 100 RW web talk about are sexy (Some).
Take you calculator up on the left hand of the screen and visit RW WEB for the article.

Do you know your VIRB? We know our VIRB
Virb is a community website that combines social interaction with music and entertainment exploration. It's a great way to keep in touch and meet people with similar interests. Use Virb to discover music, videos, cool companies and organizations... then share what you find with your friends.
That is according to VIRB's about Us!
But I think it is aimed at reducing the glow of the likes of MySpace. And others might think of it as Blogger on steroids. One way or the other, WeSeePeople has it's own space at VIRB and still it is blank canvas to be painted.
I have hope in VIRB, because the same folks who did the Purevolume have come up with the VIRB. Even though they are not from MIT ;), where good folks like me escape from to come and live in sunny California, they are of Massachusetts.
The young UMI, Unborn Media Inc has done good and I am sure it will be a blast. I urge you to pay a visit and see for yourself.
Speaking of blasts, they are having a blast at Tejas 2007 in Austin, Texas, March 10-17 with more than 80 bands. Go play

Brad Delp, the lead singer of Boston passes away
The lead singer for the band Boston, Brad Delp, was found dead in his home in southern New Hampshire. He was 55.
Atkinson police responding to a call on Friday at 1:20 p.m. and found Delp dead. Police said in a statement that there was no indication of foul play. The cause of his death remained under investigation by the Atkinson police and the New Hampshire Medical Examiner's office. Police said an incident report would not be available until Monday.
Delp sang vocals on Boston's 1976 hits "More than a Feeling" and "Longtime." He also sang on Boston's most recent album, "Corporate America," released in 2002. I first listen to them when my parents used to play Boston records, when I was young.
He joined the band in the early 1970s after meeting Tom Scholz, an MIT student interested in experimental methods of recording music, according to the group's official Web site. The band enjoyed its greatest success and influence during its first decade.
The band's last appearance was in November 2006 at Boston's Symphony Hall.
On Friday night, the Web site was taken down and replaced with the statement: "We just lost the nicest guy in rock and roll."
You can see more information about the band and Brad Delp at wikipedia section

Cpl Matt Sanchez Hero to some enemy or whatever to others
If Cpl Matt Sanchez thinks it is best for him to be with whom he is, the likes of Ann Coulter, it is his business. If he likes bing near people calling other a fagot and not get affected that is his business too.
But bashing him for being Gay or not is not right. If ann coulter wants to call another human being a fagot, you don't need to go seeking answers.
Have we ever considered that Cpl Matt Sanchez, was never gay and those porn and other activities were jobs to him? I don't know if it is illegal to be a porn star or an male escort.
But a wikipedia page! is it legal?
I would say Matt, finish your studies.

Sad to see star of the web (for while) disappear from American Idol. I hope she will get something better than singing. She got the goods and hope she will make a deal and go to college or finish college.
But there is another rumor of allegedly a sex tape of her circulating. I have not seen it but have seen the site advertising it. They presumably got chocked on downloads and seem to be looking for a solution.

Antonella Barba's current possible value for revealing or "Idol gone wild"
According to the Hollywood gossip and many other sources Antonella Barba might come out a winner yet, if the winning is counted in money, well over million of them.
She would have to take in order and I really don't know the contract demands of all these people might demand from her. Following three statements are from Hollywood Gossip and I have added my comments in italic.
* Pose in Playboy: Hugh Hefner has made it clear he’d welcome a bit of nude Antonella. So would most males around the globe. at least $500,000 I don't know what they pay!!.
Of all the guys or who ever, 25000 odd hits came looking for her photos were from North America, either we like good stuff or the rest of the world does not know whai American Idol is.
* Accept the offer from Joe Francis: Barba, representing all those Girls Gone Wild? Seems like a perfect match. Joe supposedly have offered $250,000 and he will get a chance to name one of his titles "Idol gone wild"
* Accept the latest offer from SugarDVD. The largest renter of adult DVDs online, told TMZ its’ve offered Barba a whopping $500,000 to become its new spokesperson.
Well here she can take a good well deserved rest, until other offers comes along that will include screaming!
All the best for you Antonella and all you peeps still looking for peeps follow the links.

American Idol in the bathroom
That is what the author of this lengthy article advice you to do. Print it out and read it in your bathroom.
But I just read it online. Seems not that long but if you have a notebook, yo can take that to the bathroom! Anyway the Author talks about male contestants at American idol. The social phenomenon of our times. It seem to have run a several seasons already but this is the one that I paid attention thanks to Antonella Barba, the experiment hat has gone very good.
The Unexpressed has a prediction of American Idol for Boys!
Blake Lewis – Winner, Season 6
Chris Sligh – 2nd Runner up
Chris Richardson – Top 6
Brandon Rogers – Gone early in the finals
Sundance Head – Gone first or second in the finals
Jared Cotter – Gone now
Sanjaya Malakar – Either top 6 or gone first or second in the finals
Phil Stacey – Gone now
And he has a special request to Sanjaya Malakar!!
Sanjaya,
if you're reading this, you need to go big man, real big next week. You know you can. Bust out some sweet R&B like Kc and Jo Jo or All for one. If you're feeling frisky try for some Aaron Neville in your own style; everybody loves Aaron Neville. Or if you're feeling really crazy, go to the forbidden zone. Go where nodoby has dared to go in this competition and bust out some Michael. I'm not sure if you can handle it, but if you can you should risk it. If you go out there and nail "Man in the Mirror" or "Dirty Diana" it will change the whole competition and fast track you to the final six. And it will really put the pressure on some people who are less talented than you. Hope you can pull it off bro, but if it's one more week of this Fred Astaire stuff I'll be the first resident of Canada to drive 30 miles down to the border so I can turn on my pre-paid cingular (now the new AT&T) phone and text-vote for everybody but you. Good Luck.
– dan
Hope Sanjaya listens

Will Antonella Barba appear on "Girls gone wild"?
Again according to ever entertaining poponthepop;
poponthepop.com: Girls Gone Wild's Joe Francis Wants American Idol's Antonella Barba In His Video
Tells us that Joe Francis of Girls gone wild wants Antonella Barba for special appearance. Now that a offer of $250,000 on the table, she does not have to be afraid of getting dropped by American Idol. And from all the photos we have seen, she should have problem doing the acting either, if there are any acting required.
This is all amazing to me. What ever you are, thank you, Antonella Barba, for giving me an idea and an education on social animals and social behaviors of today.

Socialize your blogger blog
You have seen Social bookmarking icons to let readers bookmark a post or a site. Usually there are 10-12 tiny icons on a blog. Now Socializer by ekstreame.com has put most of those icons together and created a single icon to be put on sites. See the diagram below.
I came across socializer while searching for information on social networking. The socializer lead me to "We Fix Your Gadgets" where Evan Spiegel explains how to embed socializer in to Blogger sites. Which I will follow to add socializer to this site. But if you are on new blogger, or blogger beta as it was know a little while ago, you may want to visit "The alpha project"
But I am going to change the way both sites host the image, I will host the image on blogger itself. How? I will add the image to this post and then use the URL of the image in my template mod.

Antonella might stay longer on American Idol due to her ****, not singing. Ratings Ratings!
I have been writing about Solar energy, VoIP, Grid Technology and of course about social networking. But the posts that attract viewers are none of those. Yes there are a few hundred visitors who visits me (Thank you and please come again).
But if you go to Technorati and see the favorite searches, it is "antonella barba", and I am sure it is because of the revealing pictures of her that seem to be circulating. American Idol, after all seem to be THE social attraction at the moment.
But in this world win by any means, I think "antonella barba" must be riding the wave of publicity. Did she "antonella barba" or envious friends release these photos.
The other note comes out of this singing is that AI, American Idol is racist. Sometime back AI seem to have thrown out an African American Lady for exposing herself. And people say what is revealed is what matters. What makes me laugh is that both may have had curly hair!.
But I think people should concentrate on singing abilities of these people rather than the pubic, public or private showings of body parts like the following post on;
L'Enfant Terrible: Antonella Barba Sticks Around
I am sure people will continue to search for those photos and may the feast their eye if that is their taste. But if you are voting, vote for singing not for body parts.
You can find some videos and photos here.

Cisco goes Tribal, buys Tribe Social Networking Site
According to this article on New York Times; Next week Cisco Systems, a Silicon Valley heavyweight, plans to announce one of its most unusual deals: it is buying the technology assets of Tribe.net, a mostly forgotten social networking site, according to people close to the companies’ discussions.
Executives at Cisco and Utah Street Networks, Tribe.net’s parent company, declined to comment on their deal or its terms. But people close to the discussions said Tribe.net would remain an independent site, while its underlying technology would go to Cisco.
Dan Scheinman, the mergers and acquisition chief who led the Linksys and Scientific Atlanta purchases, now runs a new division at Cisco called the Media Solutions Group, which has been responsible for the deals for Five Across and Tribe.net.
After the Five Across acquisition, Mr. Scheinman said in an interview that Americans were quickly changing their media consumption habits. He said his new group would let Cisco help its media customers, like TV networks and cable companies, develop their sites and move more of their content onto the Web.
