Google last week told us about a Google's Social Search Demo in "This week in search 10/24/09" and the feature will enhance your searches with information from people you know or blogs that you follow!.
The Google Social Search is an opt-in and it is tightly connected to your Google Profile and GMail. So it will connect to blogs, photo albums, videos, reviews your close ones and friends produce.
Say for instance, if you have your twitter page connected to your Google Profile, the search will extend to blogs, photo albums, videos, reviews written or done by people you follow.
This is available on experiment on Google Labs and like all Google labs fetures, it is an experiment that might make into the mainstream services by Google. You can follow the link after the jump for more information and more videos.

Structural Code changes to prepare Gmail for Tomorrow
If you are a Gmail user as I am, (I got invited early in the run somewhere) you would have noticed the phases that it went through. I always like Gmail and it is becoming my major email application, even more after the free IMAP introduction. Calendar is a world of help to me and Google Docs integration, allows me to do most my work on a Nokia N800, and I am looking forward to upgrade it to a N810.
Other features like chat, voice mail, I use less frequently.
According to a post on blog, Gmail team has been working on a structural code change that will be rolling out to Firefox 2 and IE 7 users over the coming weeks (with other browsers to follow). They also say that you won't notice too many differences to start with, but the new model they use enable to iterate faster and share components (Gmail now use the same rich text editor as Groups and Page Creator, and the Contact Manager can be seen in several Google apps). A few other things you will notice are some new keyboard shortcuts and the ability to bookmark specific messages and email searches.
Thank Gmail Team. I am enjoying my Gmail.

SMS your calendar, Google Calendar , and keep everyone happy!
If you value your work, your families and friends, keeping in touch is very important. What is more important is that that you do all these in an orderly manner.
Being late to a meeting will not make a good impression unless you are the boss. (It is hard to be a boss, if you are always late!) Making your appointee wait for ever for you is will make that appointment a bit sour one. You will be known as a reliable person or discarded as an unreliable on in many peoples lives!
So you get a call and after clearing up formalities, you make an appointment, say bye and make a mental note to remember it and jot down on something as soon as you get off the pavement. But before you could even get to your desk multiple tasks pour in direction faster than breached dam! and you forget the appointment. Another unhappy customer, mad family member or a person less friendly some where thinking about you!
So what do you do? if you have a Gmail account and if you are using the Google Calender, those missed appointment might be a thing of past!
Shirin Oskooi, Google Calendar Associate Product Manager. has posted on Gmail Blog that you can send text messages to add events to their calendar or find out what events they have coming up.
Here's how it works: send a text message to "GVENT" (48368) with information about an event, like "3pm cappuccino at Borrone's," and this event will be added to your calendar. Just like the "Quick Add" feature in Google Calendar, GVENT will pop the event into your calendar in the right place. You'll get a text message back confirming the details of your event. Or, send the word "day" to "GVENT" to get a text message response containing all of your scheduled events for today, "next" for your next scheduled event, or "nday" for all your events scheduled for tomorrow. You can learn more about GVENT in the help center.
